Welcome to Taj Mahal Utrecht, the city's oldest and most authentic Indian restaurant! My name is Nazrul Zulfiqar, and I've been the proud owner of this unique restaurant on the Oudegracht canal since the 1980s.
A piece of history
In 1982, Taj Mahal opened its doors as one of the very first Indian restaurants in Utrecht. At the time, the city had little to offer in terms of Indian flavors and dishes. With great passion and love for Indian cuisine, my family and I introduced the rich flavors and spices of India to the people of Utrecht. Since then, we've become a household name in the city.
